Using the networks, marketers can usually speed up there time and increase productivity during creating, updating, and maintaining their site. Although this sounds like a great benefit to marketers it also has great drawbacks. These networks usually charge an added fee to the advertiser to be listed with the network and also charge a fee on every successful sale through the network affiliates. After all of these charges, the actual affiliate marketers rewards are practically cut in half of what it would normally be.

Being part of a larger network also has further advantages. Because the integrity of the network depends on whether the relationship bettween the affiliate and the advertiser remains honest and on the level, the affiliate network monitors the actions closely.

For both parties, it is suggested to use a trial and error method. Try out a multitde of partners and methods, and test to find the best results. If costs are an issue, just remember that a lifetime of using the wrong methods can add up to be more expensive than the little amount of upfront monies that a multitude of methods may cost.
